We saw the Far Boathouse while watching an episode of Mortimer & Whitehouse Gone Fishing, we’re so lad that we did. What a beautiful place to stay. From the money we arrived it was so peaceful. With no neighbours a the most amazing views. The boathouse has everything you could want for a stay. The kitchen is well equipped with a dining table and lounge with a fire looking out over the lake. A lovely cozy bedroom and shower room is all that you need. I can’t recommend the boathouse enough. It’s a lovely location for switching off and with the dark skies you are sure to have a lovely time. We will be back.

Absolutely amazing Jayne has thought of everything for your stay. It’s a beautiful place with lovely views. We went to just get away from it all and chill. We couldn’t have picked a better place. We sat with the bifold doors open (when it wasn’t raining) and de stressed. I think she even organised a fly by for us with two very low jets awesome. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again or recommend. It took us from 2020 to finally get in but it was worth the wait. Hopefully it won’t take another 5 years to return.

Just beautiful. The thoughtful touches Jayne provided made us feel so welcomed from the moment we stepped in the door. Everything about the boathouse is top quality. The views are amazing. For a few days we felt like we were in a peaceful bubble of our own. It was so wonderful we’ve already booked another two stays!

We had lovely few days stay at The Far Boathouse. Inspired by the TV programme “Gone Fishing” we booked as soon as we could. We were not disappointed. The Boathouse is a beautiful accommodation and very well equipped for everything you need – home from home. The scenery was outstanding especially the autumn colours. Caught a lovely perch off the jetty to round off a perfect trip. Many thanks for the birthday gifts for my wife.
